Lors d’un des voyages photos que j’organise en Inde (www.travelwithgreg.com) j’ai emmené mon groupe photographier le mariage de Ruchi et Mayank à Ajmer dans le Rajasthan.
Nous avons pu assister à la fameuse procession que l’on appelle Bharat, où le futur mari arrive chez la famille de la mariée sur son cheval blanc ! Cela se fait sous le son assourdissant d’un orchestre et des tambours, qui amplifie l’excitation ambiante. Les membres de la famille du marié dansent autour du fameux élu afin de l’accompagner jusqu’à sa belle famille.

During one of the photo trips I organize in India (www.travelwithgreg.com) I took my group photographing the wedding of Ruchi and Mayank to Ajmer in Rajasthan.
We were able to attend the famous procession called Bharat, where the future husband arrives at the bride’s family on his white horse! This is done under the deafening sound of an orchestra and drums, which amplifies the ambient excitement. The members of the groom’s family dance around the groom to accompany him to his new family in law.
